Vienna is not just known for Johann Strauss, it's beautiful buildings, the rich cafe culture or being "the gate to the East." Numerous international companies are based or have offices in Vienna. Even the United Nations and OPEC have major facilities located in the 2 million person metropolis and capital of Austria.
Having been born and raised in Vienna, my native language is German. Although I am very proud of my Austrian heritage I still consider myself a world citizen. Globalization is a positive aspect as long as we respect and understand different cultures. There is a lot we can learn from each other!

Santa Barbara, California - The American Riviera
Santa Barbara was meant to be my second home, and not just because it’s one of the most beautiful places on earth. Going to school here for one year in 1996 paved the way to a successful work and football career in Austria. Even more important, it made it possible for me to meet my wonderful wife and native Santa Barbarian Amber Sims Hinterplattner (www.allstagesmarketing.com) ten years later in 2006 through conversations about Santa Barbara over the internet.
Santa Barbara is known for it’s friendly atmosphere and Mediterranean like climate. Facing south, the city enjoys mild weather conditions and beautiful sunsets – not to mention a collection of islands sitting just off the coast.
